About Me
Hello, I’m
Jennifer Bloxham
Registered Nutritional Therapist Specialising in Preconception, Fertility & Pregnancy Nutrition
I’m Jen, a nutritional therapist specialising in preconception, fertility, IVF support, and pregnancy nutrition. I work with women, and their partners, who want expert, evidence-informed nutritional and lifestyle guidance through one of the most important times of their lives.
How I got here
My interest in nutrition started in my twenties with a genuine curiosity about how food could change how we feel, not just how we look. That curiosity stayed with me, and years later, when my husband and I knew we’d need IVF to conceive, I threw myself into researching everything I could. Books, forums, supplements and complementary medicine. I wanted to understand what we could actually do - not just wait and hope.
Our first two cycles were with the NHS and we went through the process with no nutrition or lifestyle guidance. It was only when we were lucky enough to be treated by a more holistic clinic and began working with a wonderful nutritional therapist of our own that things started to shift. That experience changed everything for me.
Our third egg collection, supported by targeted nutrition, supplements, and a clinic that treated us as whole people, was a completely different experience to what had come before. I am absolutely certain that what we put in place nutritionally made a real difference.
Our journey was also deeply painful. Following that third cycle we experienced loss - an early miscarriage, and then an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in the removal of both of my Fallopian tubes. Shortly after that, I suffered a carotid artery dissection. It was an extraordinarily difficult time. I experienced the true rollercoaster ride of navigating fertility treatment whilst still trying to carry on with normal life and everything that goes with it.
That understanding has shaped me and it is the foundation of everything I work towards with my clients.
Why this work matters to me
Since qualifying I have worked with many women through fertility issues, IVF and pregnancy, and have been privileged enough to see babies born as a result of our work together. But one experience recently reminded me, with complete clarity, why this work matters so much to me.
A close friend of mine embarked on her solo IVF journey and I supported her through her treatment - helping her ask the right questions, navigate consultant decisions, and optimise her nutrition and supplements at every stage. When she finally became pregnant, she knew I was there whenever she needed me - through the first anxious weeks, across each trimester, in the delivery room for the birth itself and in the most precious time supporting her postpartum. The days before and after her daughter arrived are ones I will never forget.
Being there at the birth for such a special moment was one of the most profound experiences of my life. I knew then, with complete clarity, that supporting women through this - from the very beginning, right through to motherhood - is exactly what I am meant to do.
Ready to work together?
I know how overwhelming it can feel trying to make sense of everything - the conflicting advice, the unanswered questions, the sense that you’re navigating it largely alone. You don’t have to do it all on your own.
If you’ve read this far, I think we might be a good fit. I work with women who are ready, motivated, and want to feel genuinely supported by someone who understands both the science and the emotional weight of this experience.
I’m currently based in Glasgow, Scotland and I am very fortunate that I am able to meet online with clients from all over the UK and the rest of the world.

Qualifications, CPD & Professional Memberships
I qualified with a Diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London in 2018 and, in 2022, topped up to a BSc (Hons) at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition. My dissertation focused specifically on nutritional therapy for IVF. The women I interviewed for that research reminded me of how I felt during my own treatment and reinforced something that has stayed with me ever since - that working with a nutritional therapist gave them a sense of agency over something that felt wildly beyond their control. That is the reason I do this work - to give my clients that same sense of agency and empowerment through one of the hardest times in their lives.
In 2021 I completed a 12-month fertility nutrition mentorship with The Fertility Nutrition Centre, and have since undertaken further specialist CPD training with Angela Heap, the nutritional therapist who first inspired my career direction, covering fertility, IVF, pregnancy and recurrent miscarriage support.
I am now in the process of completing both the Foundational Fertility Certification and the year-long Integrative Obstetrics Certification with Dr Leah Hechtman, advanced programmes that are deepening my clinical knowledge of fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care in ways that directly benefit every client I work with.
I am a registered member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP) and of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
